Hyperthermophiles:

Recently prokaryotes that require extremely high temperatures in order to grow have been isolated. The amazing temperature which they require is at an optimum level of  80-110°C.

• hyperthermophiles consist of primary producers and consumers of organic matter

• these appear to be the most primitive organisms because they occupy all the shortest and deepest branches closest to the root of the phylogenetic tree.

• similar anaerobic chemolithoautotrophic hyperthermophiles, completely independent of a sun , could even exist on other planets provided that active volcanism and liquid water were present

NOTE:

We usually boil water to kill all bacteria and living organisms but in fact these prokaryotes actually survive and thrive at this temperature.
